I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

Artist's Description

I am a Vietnam veteran with PTSD. This piece is my Attempt to explain how PTSD affects the veteran's life and the lives of their children. To the veteran with PTSD, the Spector of battle never leaves him or her - he or she continues to wear battle armor in the form of psychological defenses - never lowering their guard, living with heightened anxiety, as well as depression. Without ever saying a word to them, some of their children will also be afflicted with secondary PTSD. The futures of those children with secondary PTSD will be limited - perhaps even shortened by their secondary PTSD. This is just one of the hidden, long term effects of war that is not being addressed by our nation.

About Terril Heilman

Terril Heilman

A Call To Optimism and Hope Why is there so much hate and discontent in the world today? Although their origins are far from simple, we have an opportunity right now to improve our world by championing their opposites - optimism and hope.. We need good vibes only from them right now - at least until we have reached a kind of normal once again. Then, most of us will be strong enough to withstand some gloom and doom again. Right now, we have been weakened by a...
