The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This particular location signifies freedom as the liberation of France began here during WWII on DDay. Paratroopers were landed before the big offensive to secure the bridge and cut off the route from German reinforcement movements.
